ESL School Admissions
English as a Second Language
Accredited College seeks admissions representatives for the English as a Second Language (ESL) program at three metro Houston campuses. Must be bi-lingual (Spanish/English). Successful candidate will set appointments & interview prospective students for the school. Must be sales oriented, self-motivated and outgoing. Evening hours are required. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
1.To become knowledgeable of the history, goals, objectives, requirements, and content of all programs of study offered by ILS in order to present complete, factual information to prospective students and other external publics.
2.To arrange campus visits for prospective students and their families. To conduct and supervise campus tours for prospective students/families.
3.To act as the campus liaison for campus students and other departments, including financial aid, placement, and academic advisors.
4.To conduct student interviews according to prescribed policy, administer entrance and placement testing, and advise the student regarding academic requirements, etc. To advise campus management regarding the overall effectiveness of admissions policy and recommend changes/modifications as needed.
5.To monitor your students' attendance and overall academic progress.
6.To develop effective strategies for achieving enrollment success, including effective telephone usage to achieve maximum enrollment results.
7.To complete the students' academic file, including evaluating test results, securing appropriate admissions documentation, and arranging any required pre-enrollment conferences with the academic advisor.
8.The associate must think as a performance-based individual and recognize that enrollment goals are the principle measurement of success.
9.The associate typically will manage and coordinate the admissions process for an average of seventy-five on-going interested prospects, and report accurately the status of each.
10.The associate will interact with various members of the target community and ensure the necessary marketing resources are available. Community visits and presentations, as approved, will be part of the assigned responsibility.
11.Performs other duties as may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Prior successful inside sales experience. Must be willing and able to accommodate flexible schedule and hours. Must recognize and accept the performance quotient, and exercise independent thinking on how to best serve each prospective student.
