We are currently seeking a Supply Base Manager. As our Supply Base Manager you will plan, direct and control activities related to the procurement of material, supplies, equipment, and contractual services as required. You will develop and install policies and procedures to insure cost efficient operations to meet corporate and divisional requirements.
Typical duties for this position would include:
* Directs the procurement of raw materials, purchased parts, service equipment, and operating supplies at the lowest possible cost consistent with accepted standards of quality and service.
* Develops and maintains an effective organization through selection, development, compensation, and modification of all assigned personnel. Develops managerial and other talents necessary to achieve long range objectives by effective direction, counseling, and training.
* Directs subordinates in the management of their assigned responsibilities.
* Directs the development and implementation out of governmental requirements pertaining to disadvantaged and small business procurement mandates.
* Negotiates major purchasing agreements.
* Establishes, recommends andcontrolsbudget.
* Prepares periods reports and other data for presentation to management indicating record of achievement on established goals and identifies potential cost reduction areas.
* Keeps informed on all laws and regulations affecting purchase and delivery on items procured.
* Complies data and statistics.
* Plans and directs purchasing activities to meet management pricing variance goals.
* Directs the sale of division assets, equipment, and material classified as obsolete or scrap under corporate guidelines.
* Maintains contact with all markets in which the company obtains materials and keeps management advised of market status, trends, availability and projected performance.
* Visits and evaluates present and potential suppliers.
* Suggests and implants opportunities for cost reduction and quality improvement.
* Additional duties and projects as required by management.

Requirements |
Requirements for this position include:
* Engineering or Business Degree.
* Strong negotiating skills
* MRO, Contract Administration, JIT, MRP and Vendor Quality Assurance.
* 5 - 10 yrs. related industry experience in field of purchasing.
* APICS, CIPM, CPM preferred.
* ERP Systems.
