Program Case Manager, Financial Empowerment/Asset Development
BASIC PURPOSE:
The YWCA is committed to help improve women's lives and remove barriers to self-sufficiency. Help women and families achieve their financial goals through the YWCA of Metropolitan Dallas' Financial Empowerment Program. The YWCA is seeking a qualified professional to coordinate services through our Individual Development Account (IDA) program. This position coordinates IDA activities including case management, resource referrals, coaching, and ongoing monitoring of accounts. Ongoing evaluation and research is expected in order to maximize participant and program success. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Case management
Assisting participants in the application process and assessing qualifications per program guidelines
Counseling participants on issues of budgeting, savings, and credit
Providing crisis intervention and appropriate referrals to community resources to prevent emergency withdrawals from IDAs
Coordinating with banking partners to open new IDAs and receive monthly savings information
Monitoring participants' monthly savings and provide updates and reminders to participants
Facilitating participants' enrollment into asset-specific training and completing asset purchases
Providing guidance and motivation to participants
Ensuring participants continue to meet program requirements throughout their enrollment
Develop collaborations and positive working relationships with community organizations, boards, and committees to effectively deliver program services

Requirements:
We are seeking an individual with a Bachelor's degree in social sciences, counseling, or related field (comparable experience may be substituted for education). Applicants must possess the ability to perform basic math, accounting, & computer functions including Excel and Word as well as communicate effectively, verbally and in writing. Previous experience in social services doing case management is preferred. Knowledge of financial management techniques is a plus.
Fluency in Spanish is required. Candidate must be open to flexible schedule including occasional evening and weekend hours.
